Orders and transactions are different

An order is a completed purchase and can contain more than one payment event. Use transactions for payment reconciliation and orders for sales performance.

Attribution fields

Pick the field your links or integrations populate. Do not group unlike identifiers into one column.

FieldUse it for
SourceThe system path that created the order.
UTM source, medium, campaign, term, contentCampaign tagging used in landing-page URLs.
Affiliate and subaffiliatePartner and media-buyer identifiers.
FunnelThe storefront, Campaigns App, or API funnel identifier.
Offer and couponThe promotion applied to the order.
Campaign identifiersJoining analytics provider events to Campaigns App sessions and order attribution.

Campaign analytics events can include campaign_id, campaign_name, campaign_currency, campaign_language, and campaign_session_id. Cart and checkout events can also include coupon and discount data when available.

Export & reconcile

  1. Write down the question, store timezone, date range, and date type before opening a report.
  2. Apply the smallest set of filters that answers the question.
  3. Drill into the totals and inspect a few orders before exporting.
  4. Choose Download CSV and save the filter and date definition with the file.
  5. Reconcile like with like. Compare order totals to order data and payment totals to transaction data.
  6. Record refunds, cancellations, offer changes, and funnel releases that affect the period.

Keep the time basis fixed

Order date, payment date, shipment date, and renewal date answer different questions. A report is not comparable when the team changes its time basis between periods.

Partner access

Use Settings > Partner Reports when an agency, affiliate, or media buyer needs direct access to a restricted reporting view.

  1. Create the report and choose an include or exclude filter strategy.
  2. Select only the products, lifecycle stages, funnels, affiliate IDs, or UTM values covered by the relationship.
  3. Choose whether the partner can see revenue columns.
  4. Grant access to the intended user and preview the report before sharing it.

A person can have access to more than one partner report. Review access when a campaign ends or the commercial relationship changes.

Troubleshooting

Compare timezone, attribution window, refunds, currencies, and the identifier used for the join. Advertising platforms and order reports do not measure the same event.

UTM or affiliate values are blank

Open affected orders and check their attribution cards. Then verify that the landing links, redirects, and order integration preserve those values.

Campaign events are missing

Use the campaign page's analytics debug panel. Correct the named provider or API-key warning, send a test event, and confirm successful delivery.

Totals changed after export

Check whether refunds, cancellations, or late payment events were posted after the first report ran. Save the report run time with recurring exports.
